Serena Williams has officially qualified for the 2012 TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships Istanbul after her US Open Grand Slam title win on September 9, 2012. Williams has qualified for the WTA Championships on nine occasions during her career, and is set to compete for the first time since 2009.
