A few days ago it was announced that starting in 2015 Wimbledon will start one week later meaning that there will be 3 weeks between the French Open and the Championships instead of just 2.
The move will allow players an extra week to adapt between clay and grass.
When asked about this date change, Ivanovic gave a ringing endorsement of the move.
"I think it's great," she said. "There aren't many things I would change in tennis but this is definitely something I have always supported, so I'm happy to see that it's happening, and I think the vast majority of players will support it.
"To go from the slowest surface to the fastest, in just a week, sometimes less, is very tough and this will obviously give us more time to adapt, and maybe even to play an extra grass event."
